Daniel Keck, PA-C

Daniel Keck is an experienced orthopedic physician assistant with more than 15 years of practice in sports medicine and total joint replacement. He will work closely with Dr. Brad Sparks in both the operating room and clinic.

Originally from Philadelphia, Daniel has also lived in Maryland, Colorado, Alaska, and Washington. He is excited to return to Alaska to serve AFOC patients.

Before becoming a physician assistant, Daniel worked as a wilderness guide and in search and rescue, where he frequently encountered patients with injuries in the field. Those early experiences inspired him to pursue a career in orthopedics, where he could move beyond the initial response and play a direct role in helping people heal. He enjoys the balance of working in surgery and clinic, and he is committed to understanding each patient’s individual goals in order to help them return to the sports and activities they love.

Daniel earned his master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Maryland and is board certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. He also maintains active licensure through the Alaska State Medical Board.

Outside of work, Daniel spends as much time as possible with his wife, Dr. Chloe Mulligan, their three children, and the family dog, a Vizsla named Benelli. Together they enjoy Alaska’s great outdoors, including fishing, camping, canoeing, hunting, and hiking.
