Keith McCormick, PA-C, DMS

Keith McCormick is a physician assistant with a background in hip and knee joint replacement, sports-related injuries, and musculoskeletal trauma. After years of stabilizing traumatically injured patients as an EMT, Keith entered orthopedic surgery to be part of the treatment patients need to get back to their daily activities.

Keith works closely with Dr. Lars Matkin to help patients recover from their injuries or conditions, regain their mobility and restore their function. He is board certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. He also holds an Advanced EMT certification.

Prior to this career, Keith served as a Marine Corps infantryman from 2009 to 2014. He later worked as a contracted combat medic with the U.S. Department of State, working on the personal security team for the U.S. ambassadors to Iraq and Afghanistan.

While serving in Afghanistan, Keith bootstrapped a startup software company, which he later sold. That entrepreneurial endeavor led to Alaska’s governor recognizing Keith as Alaska’s Entrepreneur of the Year in 2018.

Born and raised in Anchorage, Keith enjoys spending time with his wife and teaching the techniques of hunting and fishing to their boys.
