Doug A. Vermillion, MD
Dr. Doug Vermillion joined AFOC from Orthopaedic Research Clinic Alaska (ORCA) in January 2025. He is board certified in orthopedic surgery and has completed fellowship training in adult reconstructive surgery / foot and ankle surgery. He has a strong background in total joint replacement, advanced biologics and sports medicine, including cartilage restoration.
Dr. Vermillion’s extensive experience in cartilage repair and biologics includes bone marrow aspirate and PRP, or Platelet-Rich Plasma Therapy, an innovative treatment option increasingly used in sports medicine. If you have a nagging sports injury or chronic pain that just won’t go away, PRP can help accelerate healing, reduce pain, and get you back to doing what you love faster – all without surgery.
